Welcome to Kimpton Banneker Hotel. At this time, we are open and accepting guests.

We're continuing to monitor developments and following guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) and the State of Washington, DC. To help safeguard your health and best serve you during your stay with us, we've made necessary modifications to our amenities and services. In addition to our rigorous standard housekeeping routines, we've increased the frequency of our cleaning procedures and have put in place additional measures to enhance our disinfection protocol in public areas.

Guest Amenity Fees

Guest Amenity Fees of $25.00 + tax will be charged per night of your stay and include the following:

  1. Black car service within 1 mile radius of hotel AM/PM
  2. Downloadable self-guided Cultural Tourism Heritage trail neighborhood
  3. Hotel curated walk, jog or skip map to iconic monuments + neighborhoods
  4. Kimpton Banneker Spotify downloadable playlist
  5. Chef Laurent’s homemade fur-family dog biscuits

Digital Check-in & Checkout​:

  • Our hotel now offers convenient digital check-in and checkout, so you can come and go with greater ease, and stay focused on your real priority—making the most of your stay. Signature Kimpton Programs:

  • Where can I find coffee in the morning?
    • Morning Coffee Service available from 6:00a.m. - 10:00a.m.
    • Morning Kick-Start will feature a “Kimpton Get Up + Go” playlist and complimentary access to Press Reader content on guests’ personal devices (available at select properties).
  • Evening Social Hour will now offer an opportunity to unwind and relax over a glass of wine or a cold beer in the comfort of your room. Visit the front desk for additional details.
  • Kimpton bikes are available on a first-come, first-served basis and will have an additional layer of disinfection with the guest present prior to bike check out.
  • In-room Spa Services have been suspended.

Parking Services:

  • Valet parking is available at $50/night with in + out freedom.

Housekeeping Services:

  • To protect the safety of our guests and employees, our housekeeping service is completely contactless. This means that our housekeeping team will not enter your room during your stay. Our team will check in via text to offer contactless delivery of towels, sheets or trash pick-up. You can also text us directly at 504-290-2009 to request delivery at any time including our "Forgot It, We Got It" items such as a toothbrush or razor.
  • We have removed certain guest room items (think throw pillows, pens/paper, books and robes) as a precautionary measure or in some cases made changes to other in room amenities. Learn more about Kimpton’s Approach to Clean.

Minibar:

  • In need of a snack or a cold drink? Stop by the front desk to purchase a variety of mini-bar items from our pop-up bodega.

Dining Services:

  • Grab and Go items are available for purchase daily from Le Sel. Place an order ahead of time or stop by the restaurant to order with a host. Complimentary coffee is also available.
  • Le Sel is open for dine in and pick up (View Hours Here).

In-Room Dining:

  • In Room Dining is available for guest room contactless delivery for dinner. Place an in-room dining order through Le Sel restaurant.

Concierge Services:

  • Looking for ice? For your safety, we have suspended our in-floor ice machine service in lieu of contactless delivery. Contact us 202-650-0970 and we’ll take care of the rest.

Fitness Center:

  • The fitness center is open with social distancing guidelines.

Other Services:

  • Currently in-dining breakfast services are temporarily paused and a complimentary grab + go breakfast is being offered each morning.
